Get reviews in creative ways
Comments: 0
As a dealer, contractor, professional organizer, and even service company it’s important to get reviews online. A sustainable review program is important so people and search engines know you are a good choice. QR Codes are a creative way to do just that.
Reviews by QR Code
I just went to the Search Marketing Expo (SMX West) where there a hotel had implemented an interesting practice. When a customer checking out said they really enjoyed their stay, the front desk asked if the would give a review. And right by the register was the QR Code to the page on the internet where they could leave a review. With camera phone scanner you can read these creative design boxes. Like for hotels, this could be a very simple thing for a service professional to have a happy customer scan and review at the end of a job.
QR Codes can be used in a million ways. One you see a lot is on brochures and in magazines, often to send customers to a sign up page or to get more information.Scanners for Android: Barcode Scanner, Iphone/Blackberry/Palm/Non-smartphone: Neo Reader, Windows Phones: Microsoft Tags. Finding the right review sites
Look at your competitors' reviews and what sites they are from in Google Places. Google pulls from these sites to add to its places pages. You can also do searches to see what sites are showing in your local search results and get on those. Here are a few that are generally good for service professionals.
Some top review sites
- Google Places
- Yelp.com
- Kudzu.com
- AngiesList.com
- Superpages.com
- Local.Yahoo.com
- Bing Local
- YellowPages.com
Conclusion
Reviews mean trust and with things like Google Hotpot you will start to see the reviews from your friends adding even more trust. Whatever you use to get reviews online, whether it’s a follow up email with a link, QR Code, or Facebook post make it sustainable. Make it an integrated part of your brand so that others really know how great your service is. Let us know if you have creative ways to get reviews and will add it to the post. Go get some reviews.
