Do you have multiple organization projects that you would love to get started on, but don’t have the money for them just yet? Well I am here to tell you that you can still be organized without spending tons of money. Here are some ideas to help you get started on your project without breaking your piggy bank.



Use storage containers you already have: Instead of going to the store to purchase containers to tackle your new organization project try going through your home and finding containers you already have. Then be creative! Shoeboxes are a great storage tool, and when stacked on top of each other, they can create an entire wall of storage space; just remember to label each box.

 

Affordable Storage: Affordable wooden crates can be purchased from most home improvement stores. Buy a bunch and sand them down to use as cubbies to place in the garage. Also, keep an eye out for any free fruit boxes that are thrown away from farmers markets or grocery stores. These make great storage containers around your home and also give off a fun vintage look.
 

Kitchen Space: If you feel like your kitchen is out of space try placing adhesive hooks under your cabinet shelves to hang coffee mugs or bowls. You can also use larger hooks to store pots and pans outside of your cabinets. If you still feel like you are running out of space consider using your kitchen items for multiple purposes, for example store your utensils in an empty jar, mug, or pitcher.



Storage: Most people store their items in their basement or attic. If you are running out of storage space in these places try using your garage walls. You can place sports equipment, camping gear, and holiday décor on your garage walls with hooks and shelving.  If you have old cabinets, instead of throwing them away try placing them as extra storage in your garage.


Keeping your home organized doesn’t have to be a challenge. By being resourceful, creative, and working hard you can keep your home and your life organized without emptying your piggy bank.
